STLA Mentorship Program Mentor/Mentee Sign Up Form
The STLA Mentorship Program will create mentorship relationships between law students, articling students, and both junior and senior members of the Saskatchewan bar. The mentorship relationship is meant to foster and enhance professional and personal relationships amongst members of the STLA.
There shall be two branches of the STLA Mentorship Program: L2L - Lawyer To Lawyer (connections for practicing lawyer members). TIP - Transitioning Into Practice (connections for law student and articling student members).
How the Program Works The STLA Executive Director, with the oversight and involvement of the STLA Mentorship Committee, will maintain Mentee applications, and a database for both Mentee and Mentors. The Executive Director and the Mentorship Committee shall receive confidential feedback from both Mentees and Mentors and shall match up participants as best as possible with consideration of their respective areas of interest, years of call, geographic location, and any other specific goals of the Mentee. Individual, one-to-one pairings, small group and large group gatherings will be facilitated.
The intention is for the Mentor/Mentee relationship to span a period of six months but can be deviated from as necessary in consultation with the Mentee, the Mentor, and the STLA Mentorship Committee.
