Course Title: Rebar & Concrete Inspection 2 Hr. Master Workshop. - 2 PDH

Speaker: William M. Rodwick BSCE, PE, MPA

This presentation will illustrate how to increase understanding of concrete proportioning, concrete reinforcing design, reinforcement placement, concrete finishing and concrete curing. Topic will include;

• Effective use of rebar
• Placement of circular chairs used in rebar
• Rebar splices and what types are there
• Types of standard or seismic rebar details
• The advantage of cold weather concrete
• Placing concrete underwater
• Overview of the different techniques to place concrete
• Types of floating techniques, Bull-floating, etc.

About the speaker: Mr Rodwick has worked for over 24 years with NYC Transit as Senior Construction Manager, Chief of Quality & Safety Mgt & Asst VP Engineering & Design. Prior to that Mr. Rodwick worked for 25 years with the Army Corps of Engineers. He has also served as Technical & Continuing Education Trainer with over 25 courses developed & presented to thousands of design and construction professionals. He is a licensed PE in NYS , BSCE & MPA.
