Junior Coach Registration - 2026/2027

General Information & Expectations

The purpose of having Junior Coaches is to provide mentoring and exposure for young athletes looking to develop their confidence and perhaps gain some coaching skills in a controlled, positive environment; with the support and guidance of Coaches and our Director and Assistant Director of Coaches.

Approved Junior Coaches are assigned to a Southwest Hockey ("SHA") team based on age, experience, and team needs. This process is NOT a 'first-come, first-serve'. Please note that expressing interest does not guarantee placement, as positions are limited and subject to review and availability.

U15 participants are typically assigned to a U7, U9 or U11 team.
U18 participants are typically assigned to a U11 or U13 team.

The expectation would be that the Junior Coach attends a total of 7 to 10 team practices through the season.

The following Registration Form will be reviewed and approved by our Director and/or Assistant Director of Coaches. Once approved, our Director or Assistant Director will contact the Junior Coach with regards to further instructions, next steps.
