PTC/USER Member Event Survey for 2021

Thank you for taking a few moments to help PTC/USER in our planning for the Winter Event of 2021. Uncertainty is high at this time. We are moving forward with our plans for a live Winter Event in Jan-Feb of 2021. Before the current shutdowns, we were projecting unprecedented growth based on the last few years of very successful events. Now we face several challenges and we would like to get some data to help us plan. Any insights you can share with us will help.
Assuming all mandated restrictions and precautions are observed:

* 1. How do you predict you will be feeling about traveling and attending live events by January of 2021?

I would be comfortable planning for and attending the event in January 2021 providing my company supports it.

I'm OK attending events but the Winter Event is not a priority

I do not see myself traveling or attending large gatherings by January 2021 under any circumstances

* 3. What conditions beyond gathering restrictions being lifted would need to be in place for you to consider attending events again? Check all that apply.

I wouldn't need anything else

Masks and social distancing are no longer necessary

A vaccine is available and widely distributed

Infection rates are down or the virus is no longer worse than the seasonal flu

The economy and business climates have stabilized

* 4. Realizing many companies are on strict travel limitation right now, how do you think things will be in January of 2021 at your company?

I know we will not be able to travel or attend the PTC/USER Winter Event in January of 2021

In my estimation, my company will not be approving this type of travel by January 2021.

* 5. How do you feel about virtual alternatives to live events?

I've gotten a lot out of them, I'll attend.

I'd sign up to get access to the recordings but can't get the time during work to attend live

I'd sponsor to get my name on the event and I get a contact list

I'd sponsor if I could present at the event and I get a contact list

I don't get value out of them and wouldn't attend or sponsor

* 7. PTC/USER has been holding some form of Winter Event in Jan/Feb for most of our 30-year history. If another time of year would work better, when would that be?
Please tell us in the comments the other events you attend and commitments you would most like scheduled around. (Dassault, Siemens, AutoDesk, LiveWorx, Spring Breaks, Boston Marathon, flu season, hurricane season, etc.)

I like the Winter Event when it is in late-Jan / early-Feb targeting good weather locations

I would prefer Spring (Mar-May)

I would prefer Summer (Jun-Aug)

I would prefer Fall (Sep-Nov)

* 8. For PTC/USER, losing the momentum of the annual event is detrimental to us, PTC, and our sponsors. How would you feel about skipping 2021 altogether?

I think the Winter Event has become a must-attend event and we should make every effort to make it happen

Missing one year is not a big deal to me

It's the only option I have regardless
