Thank you for registering your interest in participating in the new Trans Parent Buddy Network!

Freedom Centre and the Trans Pathways Research Team (which is made up of representatives from Telethon Kids Institute, The University of WA, Curtin University, YouthLink and Freedom Centre) being funded by the WA Mental Health Commission’s Suicide Prevention Peer Support and Mentoring Grants are looking to develop a peer buddy support program for parents/carers of trans and gender diverse young people.

We are looking for expression of interests from parents/carers of trans and gender diverse young people (under 26) who want to be involved in a short term project which will allow you to connect with other parents/carers with shared experiences.

You will be matched with an individual/individuals with shared experiences, interests and who want to get similar things out of this experience as you do. Your registration form (below) will help us to do this.

Participants will participate in a training day and meet for a catch-up dinner across four Tuesday nights with a final dinner in August to finish of the project.
Buddy Training: Sunday 28th May, 10am-5pm @ Freedom Centre
Catch-up dinners: Tuesday 6th June, 20th June, 4th July & 18th July from 7-8.30pm @ Freedom Centre
