Qalipu First Nation is working with local community groups and municipalities to develop a commemorative garden and community gathering space dedicated to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. This space will be located on Majestic Lawn in Corner Brook.

This space will become a multipurpose center for remembrance and celebration. An annual event will be hosted at the Commemorative Garden each year on October 4th, the day set aside nationally to honour those affected. This space will also be available for local community groups to use for ceremonies, drumming, etc. The draft design includes circle space to accommodate 100+ persons.
