Private Sector Program Stakeholder Survey- Private Entities

As the State Agency for emergency preparedness, response, and recovery, the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) recognizes the need to strategically and inclusively engage with the Commonwealth’s private sector partners for a more holistic approach to managing disasters. Given the events of the global pandemic and the role the private sector has played in supporting local communities and state agencies, we feel this type of program is critical now more than ever. As such, VDEM is establishing a Private Sector Program to build relationships and leverage the capabilities of Virginia’s businesses.

In September, VDEM hired EM Partners to evaluate and support establishing such a program. The evaluation includes engaging with private sector partners to better understand their capabilities and needs and how working together can support disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. We appreciate you taking the time to fill out this survey. The input and results of the survey will help us build the program framework, implementation plan, and opportunities for growth.

If you have any questions about this effort please reach out to private.sector@vdem.virginia.gov
