Bargaining at Westernport Water has commenced, and Management have put an offer to ASU. We now have the option of either accepting a 1 year ‘rollover’ on the Agreement with a 2.5% pay increase, or continuing to bargain around our log of claims. If we accept the 2.5% ‘rollover’ it will mean we will be back to negotiations early next year. However, if we do continue to bargain for a longer agreement, Government Wages Policy requires that the employer reduce the wages offer to 2% pa. over four years.
