Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU), in partnership with MDPI, is excited to host an author training session focused on the fundamentals of publishing. This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of MDPI and LSMU to academic research and scholarly publication. The session will provide valuable guidance to students on how to structure and write articles in English, offering essential tools and knowledge to support their publishing journeys. All students and early-career scholars interested in learning the basics of publishing scientific work are warmly invited to attend.

Title: Senior Associate Publisher
Name: Ms. Helen Meng
Ms. Helen Meng graduated with a Master’s Degree in English interpretation from Liaoning University, China. She joined MDPI on 5 April 2017, and worked as Assistant Editor for Nutrients and Forests, Section Menaging Editor for Foods and Journal of Clinical Medicine, Menaging Editor for Children and Medicina, Senior Associate Publisher for Medicina and Epidemiologia, and worked as team leader in Ethic Committee.

During her management of the above journals, she held many online meetings with scholars, organizing several Section Board Meetings and Webinars. She also holds a CR certificate.
Title: Journal Relations Specialist
Name: Ms. Silvija Seles Gugolj
Ms. Silvija Seles Gugolj earned her bachelor's degree in physiotherapy from the Faculty of Medicine, Novi Sad, Serbia. She joined MDPI in August 2021 as an Assistant Editor for the journal Medicina and later advanced to the position of Section Managing Editor in 2022. In 2023, she transitioned to the role of Journal Relations Specialist for the Journal of Clinical Medicine, while continuing her editorial work for Medicina.

In April 2023, she visited the MDPI Singapore office, where she held her first in-person meeting with an Editorial Board Member of Medicina. Following this, she began regularly holding online meetings with scholars, organizing several Section Board Meetings and Webinars. Ms. Seles Gugolj holds an intermediate CR certificate and represented both the Journal of Clinical Medicine and Medicina at the ESMO Congress 2023 in Madrid, Spain.

In 2024, she assumed the role of Journal Relations Specialist for Medicina, where she currently works.
Title: Journal Relations Specialist
Name: Ms. Anna Krakowka
Ms. Anna Krakowka holds a master’s degree in materials engineering from the Czestochowa University of Technology in Poland. She joined MDPI as an Assistant Editor in January 2021 and was promoted to Section Managing Editor later that year, also serving as Group Leader for two Sections in Krakow Office. Additionally, she worked as the Publishing Manager for Materials, gaining valuable experience in representing the journal and the company at both in-person and online academic events and meetings. She currently serves as the Journal Relations Specialist for the Materials and Construction Materials journals.
