The Mosman Downtown Character Statement is:

Where Glyde Street, Stuart Street and Stirling Highway meet, a place that is a thriving urban centre featuring shops, al fresco cafes and small bars at ground level with chic apartments above. Contemporary, hip, connected.

Objective of Proposal: To maintain a connection between the historic fabric of the area and future development and encourages this using architectural “clues” which will be interpreted through design but will not be artificially duplicated.
