St Ives Town Council is exploring the future use of the historic Huer's Hut as part of a National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported feasibility study.
One option being considered is a temporary creative live-work space, enabling artists and other creative practitioners to stay and work in St Ives for periods of approximately 1 to 6 months.
Users would pay to use the accommodation/workspace; this would not be a funded or paid artist residency. We are also interested in whether visiting creatives might engage with local people, schools, or community groups during their stay.
The Town Council would be open to exploring grant funding opportunities for funded residencies in the future although the current priority is to bring the Huers Hut back into sustainable re-use first.
This short survey will help us understand whether there is demand for this type of space and what would make it useful and viable.
Thank you for your participation.
