One Valdosta-Lowndes is planning for our community’s Inaugural Longest Table event—an opportunity to bring people together across all of Lowndes County and each of our cities for genuine connections over food and fellowship, creating a stronger sense of community for all of us.
And at this early stage, your voice truly matters. This isn’t something being created for the community—it’s being shaped by the community. Your input will help define what this experience becomes and how it shows up for people across our region.
A little context on what the Longest Table is (and isn’t):
It is:
- A shared community experience centered on conversation and connection
- A way to build trust, relationships, and community pride
- A welcoming, grassroots gathering open to everyone
It is not:
- A business networking event
- A political forum
- An entertainment-focused festival
Our goal is simple, but meaningful:
- Bring together voices from across all communities
- Create space for listening, understanding, and shared experiences
- Build relationships that extend beyond the table
- Lay the groundwork for ideas, collaboration, and future action
Before finalizing any plans, we want to hear from you. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey below and help shape this effort from the very beginning.
We are excited to have you be a part of Lowndes Longest Table!
“One Street. One Table. One Community.”
