VACCA are currently undergoing the journey to Rainbow Tick accreditation, which means we are working hard to make sure that our organisation and programs/services are as inclusive and safe as possible for the LGBTIQA+ community.

Although VACCA is not an LGBTIQA+ specific service, we want to make sure that if Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from the LGBTIQA+ community receive a service or support from us, that they feel comfortable to share their whole selves with us if they choose to!

The survey includes 16 questions and will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. The questions are mostly aimed towards those who identify as part of the LGBTIQA+ community, however we’re also keen to hear from allies about their experiences and ideas, and anyone that cares for a young person who identifies as part of the LGBTIQA+ community, to help us to understand what your experience has been with us, what we’ve been doing well, and how we can do better.

Along this journey we will want to check in with you to see how we're doing, so you should expect to see another similar survey from us in 12 months to track our progress.

Please note that some of these questions may be upsetting for some people, and if any of these questions do trigger past or present trauma, you can contact VAHS' confidential counselling service Yarning Safe N Strong (www.vahs.org.au/yarning-safe-n-strong-media/), and VACCA carers can contact VACCA’s EAP provider on 1300 361 008.
