1. Introduction

Welcome to the Volunteer Involvement Indicator tool.

Questionnaire details
>The questionnaire should be completed by the person responsible for leading and managing volunteers  (MoV) at the site.
> MoV (Manager of Volunteers) is the term used to describe the person responsible for leading and managing volunteers at a site/program. This role maybe shared at some sites but there should be one person that assumes the lead role as a MoV.
>If there is more than one MoV at the site, it is recommended that only one MoV completes the questionnaire.
>If you manage volunteers across multiple sites you should complete a questionnaire for each site as the questions are site specific. The results will be compromised if you complete one questionnaire for multiple sites.
>The questionnaire contains 59 questions and should take 15-20 minutes to complete. The questions are designed to align with the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement and are grouped under The Salvation Army's 6 stages of Volunteer Involvement as described in the Volunteer Management Engagement Handbook and our Successful Volunteer Management training. At the end of each section you are provided with the option to add comments.
>Each question requires a Yes or No answer and all questions are required to be answered (apart from the open comment questions which are optional).

If any of the language, terminology or questions need clarifying please contact your local Volunteer Resources Advisor or the VR Helpdesk team.

It is recommended you set aside enough time to complete it in one sitting, however if you are interrupted you can save it and come back to it at a later time.

Feedback
We are always looking to improve the way we support managers of volunteers so there is a short feedback section with 5 questions at the end of the questionnaire.

Thank you for your time and effort to complete the questionnaire. Please contact your Volunteer Resources Advisor to discuss the results and plan next steps.
