Purpose and Procedure:
This proposed consulting project is to understand trends, preferences, and demographics of physicians and surgeons in regards to their billing practices for “fee for service”. The approach consists of facilitating a survey to gain an understanding of the billing process and how billing providers can serve the needs of this group more effectively. Student consultants will use the information collected to inform their research on or before April 1st, 2014.
Potential Benefits:
This project will potentially lead to an opportunity to benefit fee for service physicians and surgeons through simplification of the billing process. We aim to identify potential areas of improvement and offer solutions that add value to the billing experience.

There is no risk to you as a participant. If you do not wish to consent to take part in the survey you may end your participation at any time with no penalty.

All information will be kept confidential. Your name and email contact information will not be connected to any comments or answers you make.
Right to Withdraw:
Your participation is voluntary and you may end the survey for any reason, at any time, without penalty of any sort. If you withdraw from the project all copies of all data collected will be returned to you immediately.

This research project was approved on ethical grounds by the Research Ethics Committee at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan, on September 11, 2013.
