This growing season, we are looking to support families, individuals, and communities facing barriers to healthy, affordable food in Greater Victoria by providing home-based food gardens using simple and affordable supplies. We will drop off and set up these starter gardens to homes each Thursday and Friday throughout May and June. We will also provide an initial food-growing consultation to ensure each home has the necessary information to get started.

This is an opportunity for us to increase residential food gardens and come together as a community. If you are interested in a home garden, please fill out the questions below and we will be in touch! 

The value of each gardening package is $120 and includes the following items:
  • 2-5 circular garden planters
  • Soil
  • 3 starter plants
  • A variety of seeds
  • Delivery of materials
  • Installation of garden *if accessible outdoors
Please note we cannot guarantee everyone a garden but our team will do its best to provide those with the greatest need with gardens. If you received a garden last year you are unfortunately not eligible to apply again as we want to reach as many people as possible through this program.
