Thank you for your willingness to participate in the Community Child Care and Early Learning Needs Survey. This study will help contribute to our understanding of the real need of childcare within our community.
The study is being conducted by the River Valley Regional YMCA, partnering with Lycoming College. For questions about the research, please contact Dr. Betty McCall at Lycoming College at (570)321-4203 or mccall@lycoming.edu. For questions regarding YMCA Child Care Programs, please contact Lane Colburn, Director of Child Care Quality and Development at RVR YMCA at (570) 398-2150 or lanec@rvrymca.org. If you have questions about participant’s rights, please contact the Lycoming College IRB at irb@lycoming.edu. Participants are asked to answer 16 questions. Participants may skip any questions and exit the survey at any time. Responses to the survey will be kept confidential. Any personal contact information provided in responses will be separated from the data before analysis. Any identifying information provided in responses will be submerged in the data for reporting. Data will be stored on a secure private device and destroyed after the completion of the data analysis.
Although there are no direct benefits for participating in the study, your responses will help us better understand the true need for childcare and early learning programs in our region. Your input will guide us in creating a plan that meets community needs while keeping care affordable and accessible for families.
