PURPOSE:
The IPE Leadership Certification program presents students the unique opportunity to earn recognition for demonstrating true commitment to the ideals of interprofessional collaboration. Students who pursue certification consistently go above and beyond the typical IPE requirements. These students not only actively engage in IPE programming; they participate in developing new programs and initiatives, take on leadership positions, and enthusiastically promote IPE principles to their fellow classmates, faculty, college, and university. After graduation, these same students, and those they have encouraged, will enter communities as leaders in their profession who will advance the movement of interprofessional collaborative practice, prepared for an ever-changing healthcare landscape that depends more and more on the collaboration and teamwork of all members of the healthcare team and beyond.
