Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County "i-Give-A-Shed"
Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County recognizes the challenges of not having storage space at many Habitat homes. Therefore, we launch the "i-Give-A-Shed" project so that Habitat homeowners can qualify for affordable storage sheds.
Using a modular design, Habitat volunteers will build shed "panels" on their own. Panels will be stored at the Habitat warehouse until a qualifying family is identified. Then the panels are brought to that home and assembled onsite.
If you "Give-A-Shed," you can help in one of two ways,...or both!
1. As a builder, a simple design for an 8'x8' shed will be provided via email. Lumber and hardware will be made available (either pickup or delivery). Shed panels are built at the volunteer's home. Upon completion, the shed panel comes back to Habitat (drop off or pickup) until it's time to assemble it at a Habitat home.
2. Or, you can sponsor a shed panel with a monetary contribution. Donors can find more information about how to contribute by clicking HERE.
This is an exciting project that offers a critical service to our partner Habitat families, as well as provides MEANINGFUL engagement to our valuable Habitat construction volunteers.
