PCA Zone 12 - Zonefest 2017 - WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Zonefest - May 26, 27 & 28, 2017 - Tallahassee - Zone 12 Porsche Club of America

We Need YOU !! By now, hopefully you have registered for Zonefest 2017. If you haven't, please be sure to do so, sooner rather than later. You won't want to miss all the fun in Tallahassee over Memorial Day weekend, 2017.

Regardless of whether you have or have not yet registered, and even if you aren't sure you will be attending, we are in need of volunteers to assist with various logistics to ensure that all Events and Social gatherings are properly "staffed". Committee Coordinators for each of the committees or events listed below have been identified. Now we need "willing and able worker bees" -- "an army of ready reserves" in the coming weeks.

Please peruse the survey below and "check the box" for any and all areas where may be willing to help. The first grouping in BLUE involves help that is needed well in advance of our Zonefest weekend, May 26 - 29. The second grouping in BLACK involves help that is needed during our Zonefest weekend. And please remember you are NOT limited to just one area!! So please start "checking boxes" now!

Zonefest Printed Program - prior to start of Zonefest - once the program editor has finalized the content outline, we will likely need help with writing certain content as well as updates from the regions about the past year's activities. We will also need photos from around the zone. If you think you can be a resource in this area, check this box !

Ads Sales for Event Program - prior to start of Zonefest - remember when you sold ads for your high school newspaper or yearbook? You don't?! Well, here's your chance. Surely there is a business or vendor in your area that would LOVE to market its services or products to PCA members. Put your thinking caps on and check this box !

Door Prizes -prior to start of Zonefest - as with the Ad sales, surely there is a business or vendor that you know would LOVE to donate a door prize (or two !). It's a great way to advertise and support our event without a lot of expense or trouble. If you are willing to hit the streets with ideas and to collect items,, even if just one, please check this box!

Swag - Goodie Bag Stuffers - prior to start of Zonefest - everyone loves a good swag bag. And there are lots of businesses out there with cool fun bag stuffers. What a super inexpensive way to advertise and support our event at the same time. If you might be a resource in this area, check this box !

Registration & Check-In - Friday pm and/or Saturday am - We will need help staffing a number of registration stations to assist with check-in, distribute registration packets, sign insurance waivers, distribute t-shirts and more! Seriously - no experience needed! This is a super-fun way to start the weekend and meet and greet everyone so if you have a few hours to spare either day, check this box !

Concours Support Team - Friday pm and Saturday am - Help monitor and staff the Wash and Prep Area on Friday afternoon/evening and/or Saturday morning ; Man the “Information, Check In, and Water Booth”, Directing and Parking Cars, Running the People’s Choice Voting Ballots, Set up/Clean up/Tear Down Tents after Event. You can participate in this event and volunteer. Interested?....Check this box!

Concours Judges Team - Saturday am - You MAY participate in this event and serve as a Judge. However, you may not judge the class that your car will be in. This is the one area where experience judging a concours is preferred. Our Concours Director will provide information in advance and hold a brief judges meeting Friday evening. If you can be a resource in this area, or would like more information, check this box !

Gimmick Rally Support Team - Saturday pm - For this event we will need a pair (driver and navigator) to "check run" the route about a week beforehand. In addition, we will need help lining up and starting cars, and collecting and scoring the rally sheets on Saturday afternoon. For obvious reasons, the pre-event checkers cannot participate in the rally. However, they can provide assistance in these other areas as can "non-rally checker" volunteers. You know what to do here - Check this box !

Tech Quiz - Saturday pm - We need volunteers to help hand out the Tech Quiz, Collect and Grade the Tech Quiz. Aggregate the results for awards that evening.

Autocross Support Team - Sunday am - You MAY participate in this event and volunteer. We will need help with things such as Laying Out the Course with Cones, Conducting the Technical Inspection of Cars, Safety and Cone Monitoring on Course, Staging and Starting of Cars in the AutoX Area, Exiting of Cars from AutoX Area, Timing of AutoX Runs, Posting of AutoX Run Times. And if you can wave a flag and help direct traffic, or just generally lend a helping hand here, check this box !

Driving Tour Support - Sunday pm - You MAY participate in this event and volunteer. We will need help checking in cars, handing out route information, serving as a lead or tail vehicle.

Decorations - Saturday and Sunday Dinner Set Up - if you can lend a hand with ideas and the set up for our dinners, check this box !

Photography Teams - throughout the weekend - We are looking for shutterbugs who are willing to be assigned to a specific ZF event and snap away -- AND be to sure to download / provide the pix at a central collection point in time for use in our evening dinner shows! Our Photography Director will make assignments to ensure that there is adequate coverage. You MAY participate in all events and be a resource here so Check this box!

Kids Activities - throughout the weekend - Subject to demand, we may need help with certain kids activities. This is TBD but if you have an interest and we can call upon you, please check this box !

General Volunteer - This is a "Catch All" category. If you know you'd like to help but aren't quite sure where..... and are open to just about anything - even things we haven't thought of yet ..... PLEASE Check this box !!

General Event Support Teams - throughout the weekend - we need bodies to help do basic tent setup, event check-in, water booth and clean up/tear down activities. Do we need to say it ? Check this box !
