LAAC: June 6, 2012 Statewide Senior Legal Services Provider Meeting Registration

2.Registration Information

Thank you so much for your interest in attending the June 2012 Statewide Senior Legal Services Provider Meeting, held June 6 in San Francisco!

This meeting, designed for programs that provide legal assistance to older Californians, is an opportunity to network, share issues of concern, and to plan on a statewide level. All staff at IOLTA and OAA legal services programs serving seniors are invited to attend.

This meeting is made possible by the California Model Approaches grant. Now in its third year, the Model Approaches project aims to improve the delivery system of legal aid to older Californians throughout the state and reduce serious disparities in the existing availability of legal help. We look to do this through improved coordination among SLH, local senior legal services providers (SLSPs), CDA, and others.

This meeting takes place during the Pathways to Justice 2012 pre-conference day. For more information about Pathways to Justice, visit http://www.calbar.ca.gov/AboutUs/CenteronAccesstoJustice/PathwaystoJustice.aspx.

The Model Approaches partners (the California Department of Aging, Senior Legal Hotline, and LAAC/OneJustice) are proud to offer this meeting free of charge. For those traveling more than 60 miles, travel stipends will be available to help cover travel and hotel costs. If you will be requesting a travel stipend, please return the travel stipend estimate form (attached to this email) to Denise at dwatt@laaconline.org by May 4, 2012.

If you have any questions, please contact Denise Watt, LAAC Program Coordinator, at dwatt@laaconline.org.
