2023 Call for the Public Health Partnership Conference Award Nominations

Nominate an outstanding individual or organization in the field of Public Health and/or Environmental Health from New York State. These awards will be presented at the 2023 Public Health Partnership Conference, April 27-28, in White Plains, NY.

Special consideration will be given to nominees addressing the conference theme areas which include health equity, social determinants of health, healthy aging, food insecurity, harm reduction, substance use disorder, partnerships, health disparities, environmental health, public health infrastructure.

The deadline for nominations is March 31st, 2023.

Outstanding Contribution for Individual Service– recognizes an individual for outstanding public health service in New York State.

Outstanding Contribution for Organizational Service– recognizes an organization for outstanding public health service in New York State.

Hermann M. Biggs Memorial Medal and Certificate - this lifetime achievement award honors and recognizes an individual with demonstrated outstanding achievements in public health in New York State.

Legislator of the Year Award – recognizes a New York legislator who has been a public health champion and who has been supportive of public health issues.

NYSPHA Membership Award – recognizes a member for their contributions to public health and NYSPHA.

Local Health Department Health Equity Award - recognizes a local health department or professional for provision of exemplary health equity initiatives.

Public Health Innovation Award for Local Health Departments - awards a local health department, team or professional from a local health department who led an innovative public health intervention. This intervention or practice may include demonstration of advancing the promotion of health, wellness, disease prevention, disability, and injury throughout New York State.

Environmental Health Leadership Award – recognizes an organization, local health department, district/state office or individual that has made longstanding contributions to the field of environmental public health.
