Personal Support Worker (PSW) Clinical Placements Survey

With current and projected staffing challenges in the long-term care and home and community care sectors, the government is interested in supporting the placement of PSW students to help ensure that they can be integrated into the workforce as quickly as possible.

On-going risks of placement disruption due to COVID-19, and the potential for increases in educational production of PSWs to meet current and future demand, create an immediate need to identify placement capacity across the province.

The ability to increase the number of PSWs in Ontario is directly related to the availability of clinical placements for PSW students, and we recognize that some of your organizations have existing relationships with training programs.
