Virginia State Plan for Independent Living Planning for Years 2024-2026
The Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) is a planning body working with the Department of Rehabilitative Services to increase the impact of independent living services in Virginia.
Every three years, the SILC develops a State Plan for Independent Living. In order to develop the next State Plan, for years 2024-2026, we would like you to complete the following Needs Assessment. Your answers will be used collectively with other responses to help the Council develop the goals for the next State Plan for Independent Living.
We are very interested in what you, as a person with a disability, have to share regarding what you need to help with to live at home, in your community. Your answers to the questions in this survey are voluntary and will be held in confidence. This is an opportunity for you to be heard and to express your opinion about the needs of people with disabilities. Your rights to current or future independent living services are not affected by what you say in the survey or by your choice to participate or not participate in this survey.
