NORIA Educator Externship Host Sign Up

NORIA is proud to announce the Summer 2026 Educator Externship Program. We invite your organization to join us as a host site and directly impact the future of our local workforce. By hosting an educator, whether a teacher or career counselor, your company plays a vital role in ensuring classroom instruction aligns with modern industry needs.

Program Details & Requirements

Minimum Hosting Requirement: Host sites are asked to sponsor a minimum of two educators to maximize the collaborative experience.

Program Fee:
$1,400.00 per educator (NORIA Member Pricing)
$2,000.00 per educator (Non-Member Pricing)
  • $1,000.00 is paid directly to the educator as a stipend for their time.
  • Remaining funds support program administration, materials, and coordination.
2026 Schedule & Key Deadlines

March 11: Host Site Registration Opens
April 8: Host Site Sign-Up Deadline
April 23: Selection & Matching Finalized
April 30: Placement Notifications Sent
May 12: Virtual Host Site Orientation & Prep Meeting (10:00–11:00 a.m.)
July 15: NORIA Host Site Day

2.Number of Sponsored Educators: We ask host sites to sponsor a minimum of two (2) educators at $1,400.00 each. How many educators would your organization like to host and sponsor for the 2026 program?(Required.)
3.Additional Hosting Capacity: In addition to the educators you are sponsoring, would your site be open to hosting extra educators whose stipends are fully funded by NORIA? Indicate your response and, if applicable, how many additional educators you can accommodate.
4.Will the educator(s) be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to participate in your site visit?

Note: Host sites are responsible for providing all necessary PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, vests, hearing protection) for their assigned externs.

5.Respiratory Safety Requirements: To participate in the on-site visit, will the educator be required to meet "clean-shaven"?(Required.)

Please note: While we honor host site preferences for paid sponsorships, any additional NORIA-funded educators placed at your site will be assigned based on regional need and educator applications.

8.Program Investment Agreement: We understand that the total investment per educator is $1,400.00. This fee is paid to GBRIA/LCEF to streamline the financial process; GBRIA will issue $1,000.00 of this amount directly to the teacher as a professional development stipend. The remaining funds are used to offset the overall costs of program execution.

Please Note: Host sites are expected to cover secondary on-site expenses, including lunch and required PPE for their assigned participants.(Required.)
