Western Lake Ontario 2025 Engagement Survey

Survey to Understand Public Perceptions on How Climate Change is Impacting Coastal Areas along Western Lake Ontario

If you live, work, or play anywhere along Western Lake Ontario - we'd love to hear from you!

Study area map: The watersheds along Western Lake Ontario, stretching between the Niagara River and Cobourg

The purpose of this survey is to help understand climate and weather-related impacts on coastal areas along Western Lake Ontario. For example, this may include impacts from the 2017 and 2019 high lake levels or decline in Great Lakes ice cover.

This survey will also help identify opportunities where nature-based approaches can be used to help address these impacts and provide additional co-benefits.

Your responses will help support the development of a best practice report (anticipated in 2026) to help guide efforts to improve the resilience of coastal areas to the impacts of climate change in Western Lake Ontario.

Responses are anonymous. Thank you for your time and feedback.
