Australia’s print and visual media industry is continuing to evolve, however access to the right skills remains one of the most significant challenges facing businesses across our sector. Previous industry research found that more than three quarters of businesses had vacancies across key occupations, while 94% of respondents were not satisfied with the skills and experience of applicants they were receiving.
To advocate effectively on behalf of our industry, the Visual Media Association needs current, evidence-based information that clearly demonstrates where skills shortages exist, which occupations are most in demand and where future workforce pressures are emerging. Your responses to this survey will help us take a stronger, collective industry position to government and support our advocacy for training, apprenticeships, workforce development and skills policy that better reflects the real needs of employers across our industry.
Most importantly we want our apprentices and industry supported and we need your voice to help us get there.
