Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce Red Tape Reduction Initiative

Red Tape Reduction Survey

The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce is committed to working with community partners and government to create a business friendly environment. This commitment is in recognition that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are big business to the local, provincial and national economy.

Having to satisfy regulations and policies, complete forms, and follow processes can be costly for business, resulting in limited opportunities and economic growth. An effort to nurture SMEs and minimize hurdles by eliminating unnecessary regulatory requirements makes good economic sense for everyone involved.

The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce has received several concerns about the regulatory burdens imposed on business. For this reason we are taking the initiative to get to the root cause of the concerns and address the issues that arise by working with our local government to improve the regulatory environment for business so that we can grow our local economy.

We ask that you take 10-15 minutes to review and complete this survey to help us gain a better understanding of the regulatory burdens or "red tape" that our regional businesses face. In order to make our Red Tape Reduction initiative successful, we need your input to continue to move forward in addressing your concerns.

***Please note that all responses will remain confidential, as we understand the sensitivity of many of the topics and concerns.
