Thank you for applying to attend a Capacity Building Program for U.S. Study Abroad Initiative Workshop. The Capacity Building Program for U.S. Study Abroad is a program of the U.S. Department of State with funding provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by World Learning.

These workshops are intended for study abroad stakeholders from accredited U.S. higher education institutions, including, but not limited to, study abroad advisors, faculty, and other staff involved with or interested in creating, expanding, and/or diversifying study abroad opportunities for U.S. students at their institution. There is no cost to attend a workshop and modest travel support may be provided upon request. Registration for each workshop is limited to 50 participants and is available on a first-come first-served basis. The goal for each workshop is to ensure a diversity of perspectives, including, but not limited to, different institutional types, states, and faculty/staff roles. To achieve this goal, no more than two representatives from the same U.S. higher education institution will be registered to attend each workshop. In addition, priority registration will be given, to the extent possible, to attendees representing institutional diversity, geographic diversity, and different roles in the college or university. Final workshop participant selection will be determined by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) at the U.S. Department of State.

World Learning will notify you by November 8, 2019 if your application to attend is confirmed.
