Massachusetts Full-Time RN Nursing Faculty Survey

Every MA RN Faculty Member Counts Survey

Massachusetts Full-Time RN Faculty Shortage Study:
Welcome Invitation Letter and Disclosure
Dear Colleagues,
Introduction: I need your urgent participation in a nursing education research study. The purpose of this survey is to examine how many FULL-TIME RN preparation nursing faculty are teaching in Massachusetts.
Participation: If you agree to participate, you will complete some brief demographic data (age, gender, level of education, etc.) using Survey Monkey® and answer some research questions. The entire survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
Study Benefits: We know there is a shortage of nurse faculty in MA. The Trump administration has eliminated two key faculty reimbursement programs, further contributing to the faculty shortage. Therefore, this study will examine the magnitude of the MA nurse faculty shortage and, hopefully, generate timely data to substantiate an appeal for solutions and possibly state grant funds.
Anonymity: Your responses are totally anonymous. SurveyMonkey encryption (SSL) will be enabled to prevent internet addresses from being tracked. The results will be downloaded from Survey Monkey® onto this researcher’s university password-protected computer. The results will be assigned a unique, deidentified identification code. Upon completion of the study and all data collection, the surveys will be destroyed.
Dissemination: The results will be used for scholarly purposes to plan for workforce development. All data will be reported anonymously and aggregated. The results of this study will be presented in educational settings, at professional conferences and within state governmental agencies.
Contact: If you have concerns or questions about your participation in this study, please contact:
