2025 Ashworth Scholarship Application

Application Deadline December 1, 2025.

The Texas Parks and Recreation Foundation is accepting applications from undergraduate and graduate students majoring in parks and recreation and related fields. The $3,000 scholarship was established in memory of Parks and Recreation legend Jack O. Ashworth Sr. and his son Jack, Jr.

Applicants must be enrolled in a Texas university or college.
Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Scholarship recipients are strongly encouraged to attend the Texas Recreation and Park Society Annual Conference to accept the award. The conference dates are February 10-13 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
