Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics Industry Needs Analysis
The University of Toulon (FR), in collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the Instituto Superior Técnico (Portugal), and the Universitat Jaume I (Spain) are in the process of establishing a globally unique MSc in Marine and Maritime Intelligent Robotics (MIR).
This Master programme innovatively combines robotics, Artificial Intelligence in the context of advancing marine and maritime science and its technological applications. It aims at building the capacity to enable advances in far reaching sea exploration, autonomous and deep sea robots, teleoperations and the use of AI in these endeavours. The MIR programme is shaped to provide training in state of the art applied robotics targeted at enhancing the efficiency, health and safety as well as environmental performance of the offshore industry and maritime operations.
