WORKSHOP: TCI and TIVA - Pump It Up!

Learning Objective:

After attending this workshop, the participants will be able to:
  1. Apply pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles underlying target-controlled infusion (TCI) systems for TIVA.
  2. Compare commonly used models and select appropriate targets for hypnosis and analgesia.
  3. Recognize clinical situations where TIVA/TCI offers advantages over volatile anesthesia, troubleshoot common problems including hemodynamic instability, delayed emergence, and pump limitations.
