Clever Play Cafe aims to be the first board game cafe in North Carolina, specifically located in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel-Hill area). Much like a traditional cafe it will offer an inviting and welcoming atmosphere with comfortable seating. An array of delicious coffee drinks, locally sourced baked goods, and a light fare menu will be available along with a library of over 500 board games you can play! Traditional games, like Monopoly, Uno, Trivial Pursuit, Taboo, Telestrations, and Scrabble will line the walls along with modern games like Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, Pandemic and Codenames. There will certainly be something for everyone.

For just $5 a visit, you can stay and play as many games as you'd like. Not sure what game you want to play? No problem. Our games will be organized and color coded so you can select one that's a good fit. Our staff will be trained to help you select a game, and teach new ones that you are interested in. Our goal is to help you have a fun, relaxing, interactive time with friends and family. We also have plans for events like date night, trivia night, and track out camps where kids can enhance social and other skills through gaming.
