Application for KAS for Mathematics and Assessment Blueprint Review Committee (RC) and Advisory Panel (AP) members

By completing this application, you are requesting consideration for the Advisory Panels (AP) and the Review Committee (RC) to review the Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics and Assessment Blueprint. According to KRS 158.6453, there will be three grade-banded advisory panels. One panel will represent grades K-5, another for grades 6-8 and the third will represent grades 9-12. The advisory panel will review and respond to public feedback and make recommended revisions to the standards. The review committee reviews the full scope of recommended revisions and approves the final recommendations for the final draft KAS.

The meeting dates for this work will be November 18-20, January 20-22 and April 13-15.

Applicants who are invited to participate in the review of the Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics are expected to:

· Discuss this opportunity with your building leadership and get permission to apply;

· Attend and actively participate in all meetings;

· Work collaboratively with other committee members;

· Meet all deadlines; and

· This work will primarily take place in-person on the dates above, however there is a possibility that committee members may be asked to meet virtually, after school hours and possibly on school breaks to complete critical work.
