The term industry-recognized credential in this context refers to a certification or license that is approved by a diverse group of industry representatives and is used to some degree in the hiring process for individuals in that industry.  The review process relies on industry partners to validate the need of an industry credential in their respective career fields to ensure that students are earning credentials that are valued by Ohio businesses and/or are tied to Ohio’s Top Jobs list. As a part of this process, any community stakeholders, including schools, districts, parents and businesses, may submit industry-recognized credentials to the Ohio Department of Education for consideration. The list of credentials below have been submitted this quarter for consideration. If you have an interest in a credential being included on the list but don't see it here, please check to see if it is included already on the list of approved credentials, or explore the process of applying for a credential to be added.

The survey will remain open through May 18, 2022.
