The City of Hamilton, Hamilton Council on Aging and Senior Advisory Committee recently launched the 2021-2026 Hamilton’s Plan for an Age-Friendly Community. To view the 2021-2026 Plan Plan for an Age-Friendly Community, please visit 2021-2026 Age-Friendly Plan or Age Friendly Hamilton | City of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. We are grateful  to the community for the consultation that informed Hamilton’s second Age-Friendly Plan. In partnership with the Age-friendly Collaborative Committee and the broader community, our goal is now to  move forward with the recommendations in the plan.

There are many change initiatives happening every day to advance the interests, inclusion and well-being of older adults across the city and it is important that these are recognized as part of the implementation.  We invite community groups, organizations and city staff to complete this online survey to share your 2021 efforts that advance this mission. We anticipate it will take 5-15 minutes to complete the survey.

The information collected will be used to inform a snapshot of local actions underway. We will conduct a follow-up survey at the end of the year and include information from both surveys in Hamilton's Age-Friendly Collective Progress Report. We hope you will attend the 2021 Age-Friendly Progress event (which will take place in 2022) to celebrate our collective achievements towards making Hamilton an Age-Friendly city.
