Upper Pottsgrove Township's 2018 Parks, Trails and Open Space Survey
Upper Pottsgrove Township is in the process of updating its Open Space Plan!
When the plan was last updated in 2006, only about 70 acres of Township land was permanently protected as open space. Currently, Upper Pottsgrove has over 400 acres of open space that's permanently protected - that's an addition of 330+ acres and an increase of over 450%!
Beyond acquiring land dedicated for parks and open space, the Township has also made great progress in expanding the local trail network. Today, several local trails connect a number of Upper Pottsgrove's parks and open space areas. By working with regional groups like the Montgomery County Planning Commission and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, the Township will continue to expand trails and will create important connections to the regional trail network and to other important destinations in and around Upper Pottsgrove.
