Union City Planning and Zoning Ordinance Review and Update Survey

Union City is updating its zoning ordinance to improve clarity, usability, and alignment with the city’s long-term vision. Zoning rules affect how land is used, how neighborhoods change, where businesses can locate, and how development occurs throughout the city.

This survey is designed to:
  • Identify where residents and stakeholders need zoning education
  • Understand which parts of the current zoning ordinance are unclear or challenging
  • Highlight areas of concern related to zoning districts, land uses, and development standards
  • Gather ideas and priorities to inform updates to the ordinance
The survey takes approximately 12 to 15 minutes to complete. All responses will be reviewed and used to inform the zoning rewrite process.
