Thank you so much for signing up to be a volunteer with the UVSS! 😄
 
We have a few key volunteer opportunities coming up:

  • Residence Move-In Day and Info Fair (September 5) - Students will be moving into residence this day. There will be an info fair, with a UVSS table, in the Quad. Help greet students moving onto campus, and hand out UVSS swag! 
  • Campus Kick-Off (September 7-10) takes place the first week of classes and is filled with action-packed events such as Pancake Breakfast, Movie in the Quad, and Bands on the Roof. And other events such as Vendor Fair and Thunderfest. We have a variety of opportunities available on these days!
  • Clubs and Course Union Days (September 15 & 16) - a massive tabling event where students can find out about the 175+ clubs and various course unions available on campus. 
 
Through all of these exciting events, we will need your help to set up equipment, table and hand out some of our UVSS items to students, hand out food and drinks and help clean up and take down events. 
 
Please sign up for the roles and shifts you'd like to help us with in the form below! We will be assigning roles on a first-come first-served basis, so fill out the form soon!

We will send you a confirmation email of your roles/shifts, and any information you need to know. If you don't hear confirmation from us by Thursday, September 3, please get in touch!

* 5. Sunday, September 5th, Residence Move-In Day and InfoFair (UVSS Tabling) 📦
Students will be moving into residence this day. There will be an info fair, with a UVSS table, in the Quad. Help greet students moving onto campus, and hand out UVSS swag!

* 6. Tuesday, September 7th - UVSS Tabling at Vendor Fair 🎪
We'll have a table set up outside of the Student Union Building. We'll need help handing out UVSS swag (tote bags and other goodies), and getting students signed up to our newsletter.

* 7. Wednesday, September 8th - Pancake Breakfast 🥞
We will have a station set up in the Student Union Building in the Michel Pujol Room to make and hand out free pancakes to students. There will be a table set up to hand out swag items and provide info as well as a clean-up crew to help take down the event.

* 8. Wednesday, September 8th - UVSS Tabling at Vendor Fair 🎪
We'll have a table set up outside of the Student Union Building. We'll need help handing out UVSS swag (tote bags and other goodies), and getting students signed up to our newsletter.

* 10. Thursday, September 9th - Movie in the Quad 🍿
We will be playing the movie "Raya and the Last Dragon" in the quad ( on the large grass field in front of the McPherson Library) There will be popcorn to hand out and the first 200 people will receive a free Coke drink. We will need help setting up the movie and snacks, handing the food and drinks out, and cleaning up. There will be a table set up to hand out swag items and getting students to sign up for our newsletter.

We will be having numerous local musicians play on the roof of the Student Union Building. We will need volunteers to help out the bands set up and take down equipment.
