We're still nearly five months from GIS-Pro 2020 in Baltimore and the conference committee is actively discussing options. In addition, a fantastic group of GIS Leadership Academy faculty members is working on 'virtualizing' the GLA.

Please take a few minutes to help us evaluate our options in light of restrictions and cuts in your organization.

A fully virtual GIS-Pro would likely include many of the components you are used to at GIS-Pro, spread out over several days: keynote speeches, workshops, breakout sessions, networking opportunities, virtual receptions, and some sort of virtual exhibit hall. The in-person event would be held as normal.

There would be a fee to register for either an in-person or virtual conference.

* 7. The GIS Leadership Academy in Minneapolis (June) and Portland (August) were or will soon be postponed to 2021. At this time, the GLA in St. Pete, FL in November will still take place in-person.

The virtual GLA under development would mimic the in-person five day GLA. Through Zoom, there would be multiple instructors, approximately 40 attendees, a mixture of lecture with exercises and group discussions.
