Application for Participation

Join the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) to learn about the two pandemics impacting Asian and Asian American community members: anti-Asian racism and COVID-19. This Learning Collaborative will explore diverse perspectives of the two pandemics and highlight innovative care models for Asian- and Asian American-serving community health centers.

Date: Tuesdays, June 8, 15, 22, 29
Time: 8-9:30 HT / 11-12:30 PT / 2-3:30 ET

Session 1 (June 8): Intersecting Identities of Asians, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (A/AA & NHPI)*
Session 2 (June 15): Understanding Asian and Asian American Community Needs Using an SDOH Lens
Session 3 (June 22): Applying Trauma-Informed Care for Asians and Asian Americans During COVID-19
Session 4 (June 29): Combatting Two Pandemics with Community Rooted Interventions

* This Learning Collaborative will focus primarily on Asian/Asian American communities that have been disproportionately targeted with violence during the pandemic. AAPCHO recognizes the impact of racism through systemic discrimination that has impacted Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Policies that aggregate Asian, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (A/AA & NHPI) population data and limit the eligibility for particular A/AA & NHPI groups/subgroups to access safety net programs are just two examples that will be further addressed in a future Learning Collaborative.

Intended Participants: Asian- and Asian American-Serving Community Health Centers, Primary Care Associations (PCAs), Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCNs), and community-based organizations partnering with health centers

Selection Criteria: Health centers and health center look-alikes will be prioritized for selection.
