Become Part of the Contract Action Team (CAT)

During contract negotiations, communication is critical.  All members have to know what’s going on and the bargaining team depends on all members to take action.  To get the best possible contract, members must be informed, get involved and support their bargaining team.  That’s where the Contract Action Team comes in!

Contract Action Team Members:
  • Keep co-workers informed about negotiations
  • Communicate member concerns to the Bargaining Team
  • Hand out flyers in workplaces and keep Union Bulletin Board updated
  • Help plan worksite actions and conduct worksite meetings
  • Attend union meetings and bring other co-workers with me
  • Keep community leaders informed about negotiations
  • Meet with elected officials
  • Lobby the Board of Supervisors
  • Build community support for the Contract Action Team
