NGA Trust Board Elections 2025: Nomination Form TRUSTEES TO BE ELECTED TO HOLD OFFICE FROM THE AGM TAKING PLACE ON THURSDAY 20th NOVEMBER 2025Three directors are to be appointed by an electronic/postal ballot. The following regions of the NGA will elect one director: South East South West East Midlands Board members will be elected on the basis of the nga-articles-of-association-20240813.pdfNomination rules: Members of any class of membership may self-nominate, provided that they have approval from the chair or vice chair if they are part of a member governing board. Members may nominate a candidate from any class of membership Members may only nominate one candidate Candidates may only stand in one region even if eligible to stand in more than one Nominators and candidates must be fully paid up and in other respects be members in good standing Candidates will need to specify in which NGA region they are standing for election Individual Members: Home address must be in the region in which they are standing.Governing Board: The school must be situated in the region in which the candidate is standing. Nomination (for either a governor or the governance professional) must be approved by the chair or if the chair wishes to stand the vice-chair of the governing board.Multi-Academy Trust: The trust must be situated in the region in which the candidate is standing. Nomination (for either a trustee/governor or the governance professional) must be approved by the chair or if the chair wishes to stand the vice-chair of the trust/governing board.Local Association: Must be situated in the region in which the candidate is standing. Nomination must be approved by the chair or, where the chair wishes to stand, the vice-chair of the association.Corporate: Must be situated in the region in which the candidate is standing. Nomination must be approved by the most senior person in the organisation who is also listed on the NGA membership.All candidates must at the time of nomination and election be either: serving governors/trustees or a serving governance professional to a governing body, academy trust board or academy committee (local governing body) If you need to be reminded of your membership number, please email enquiries@nga.org.uk with the full name of the organisation (in membership) and the postcode.
