2025 Kick-Off to Red Ribbon Week: Downtown Hammond Trick 'r Treat & Night Out Against Crime Business Sign-Up 🎃


Boo! 👻 Downtown Trick-or Treat is just around the corner and we are so excited to celebrate!
Once again we are partnering with Tangi Crime Stoppers, TRACC, and the Louisiana Children's Discovery Center. Activities for children will be offered on the 100-block of N. Cypress St. and in the LCDC parking lot. Maps will be available digitally to get families started on their Halloween adventure!

This event is open to all businesses located within the Hammond Downtown Development District (DDD). Vending opportunities will not be available for this event.

We look forward to your participation! This is a wonderful way to be involved in the downtown Hammond community. Lots of fun will be had (and candy)!

Important Information:
  • Date & Time: Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 pm, weather permitting
  • What is required of my business? All businesses are required to purchase their own candy. We estimate a large crowd for this event and recommend that you distribute 1 or 2 pieces of candy per trick-or-treater to ensure that your candy lasts the whole event.
  • Safety: Hammond PD Officers will be present at intersections (within the boundaries of businesses participating)
  • Parking/Closures: 100-block of N. Cypress St. (between Charles St. & Thomas St.) will be closed for the event from 3PM to 8PM. The street MUST BE cleared by 8PM.
  • An official map will be made publicly available on our website on Wednesday, October 15th.
  • Deadline to be included on map: Tuesday, October 14th.

* 8. Do you require a pop-up location? This is for businesses within the DDD that are outside of a walkable zone and would like a placement to set-up as a candy stop. DDD businesses must provide all equipment. Location will be on the 100 block of North Cypress (outside of BATTER, Solt Provisions, and the Louisiana Children's Discovery Center).
