Application Materials 

Thanks for your willingness to participate in the Garatoni Building Better Men Program. This program has been consolidated with the Pyramid Program. Scoring for the Program is determined by three different factors— total Pyramid score (85%), a reflection summary (10%), and a letter of recommendation from an advisor (5%).

The application should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. You will need the following in order to submit a complete application:  
  1. A reflection summary (600 words maximum) 
  2. A letter of recommendation from an advisor or alumni 
The information you submit will be used to determine the winners for the following pyramid awards:  
  • 1st place and a $100,000.00 grand prize
  • 2nd place and a $25,000.00 prize
  • Best New Chapter/Colony (also known as the Rattle Award) and a $25,000.00 prize 
This information will also be used to choose the winners for the National Fraternity Awards that are given out annually. These awards will be announced on social media and given out during the virtual convention this summer.  Below are the awards: 
  • Kahlert Academic Excellence Award
  • Outstanding Chapter Operations Award
  • Outstanding Recruitment & Retention Award
  • Outstanding National Involvement Award
  • Outstanding Philanthropy & Service Award
  • Outstanding Campus Involvement Award
  • Outstanding Risk Reduction & Education Award  
Applications are due by Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 by midnight PDT.

* Next, you will want to upload your reflection summary. As a reminder, the summary should be between 400 - 600 words. The summary should include the following information: 
  • Your chapter's successes over the past year 
  • What challenges your chapter faced and what you did/are doing to overcome them
  • Why your chapter deserves to be recognized
PRO TIP: Make sure to list your name and chapter at the top of the document. Don't forget to submit in a PDF!

You should email Drew Hopson, Assistant Executive Director at Drew@triangle.org to schedule a pyramid review. Please plan for this meeting to be an hour in length. For this meeting you will need a copy of your most recent grade report and access to your officer binders/google drives.
