Trash Reduction Survey

We want to hear from you.

Thank you for taking this survey. Old Lyme's Waste & Recycling Committee wants to learn what efforts residents make (or are willing to make) to reduce household waste. The Annual Town Budget reflects more than $1 million was spent this past fiscal year to process our household trash, hazardous waste, and recycling.

The charge of the Waste & Recycling Committee is to provide the Board of Selectmen with policy recommendations and among other things, promote residential trash reduction through recycling and other efforts.

Your survey results will remain anonymous unless you choose at the end of this survey to share your name and contact information for future updates.

Early in the survey, there will be one trivia question: "How much household trash per person do you think is generated on a yearly basis in Old Lyme? Start thinking about your answer!
