Criteria for Trailblazer Award

Projects must be located or developed within a 90-mile radius of Lubbock, Texas.
Any engineered project, product, or invention. Environmental, transportation, community development, public/private building, industrial facilities, electrical/electronics, computer system, software, or mechanical system.

Projects will be judged individually on the basis of design and planning merit, project execution, contribution to the community, and creativity. There are no restrictions on size or classification.

4.Community Impact: How does the project, product or invention demonstrate relevance to the contemporary and future needs of the community/society in which it is located?
5.Creative Development: Describe the design advancement and achievement regarding new approaches undertaken for this project, product or invention.
6.Innovation: List up to five special and/or distinguishing innovative reasons why this nominated project, product or invention should win an award.
7.Collaborative Team Success: Discuss the challenges and how the design team overcame them.
8.Technical Comments: Discuss the fundamental character of the technical ideas or concepts, technical ramifications of the new concept or invention, personnel management, safety, quality control, scheduling, value engineering, and overcoming obstacles.
