Employer Networking & Career Pathways Fair
National Tourism Week (May 7 - 13th, 2017) is a time to celebrate the powerful contributions our tourism industry - and organizations like yours - make to Baltimore, while also shining a light on the people who make our industry strong.
This year's NATIONAL theme is "The Faces of Tourism." Recognizing a collective desire to welcome more Baltimore faces to our tourism community, Visit Baltimore has approached the Mayor's Office of Employment Development to partner in a new Employer Networking & Career Pathways Fair during Tourism Week.

Recognizing a collective desire to welcome more Baltimore faces to our tourism community, Visit Baltimore has approached the Mayor's Office of Employment Development to partner in a new Employer Networking & Career Pathways Fair during Tourism Week.
To determine how to move forward, we need to hear from you - prospective employers AND faces of the industry with your own career stories to share!
Visit Baltimore and MOED are considering an event in two parts. As such, employers could participate in two ways:
- Staff a booth!* That means you (and your team members) would be willing to talk to participants about your business, and, sharing current/prospective job openings as well as ways to not only apply but also to be successful in an application (and long term employment). That also means being willing to accept resumes on-site and potentially providing priority review as relevant; and/or
- Consider being a presenter in a smaller-group, 20-minute informational session. A series of informational sessions would take place throughout the day. In each session, presenting employers/staff could talk about career pathways within your business/industry sub sector, provide a personal story of career progression, provide insights that will be meaningful to prospective job seekers, etc.
*NOTE - We envision employer booth space to either be free or at a very minimal cost of participation.
