Survey Introduction

Greetings from the Training Team!

In 2015, we will launch our Tostan Training Center in Thiès, Senegal which will be dedicated to serving individuals and groups that share our commitment to human dignity and transformative learning, with the ultimate goal of building the capacities of communities to pursue their own vision for development.

The Training Center will eventually offer a range of trainings, all using a participatory and learner-centered approach, which draws its strength from the expertise of our trainers with extensive experience in rural Africa, implementing our three-year Community Empowerment Program.

As a step towards building our larger curriculum, we are currently working to develop a unique set of two-week test trainings. During the course, participants will gain expertise in Tostan’s human rights-based educational approach, social norms theory, and community-led development, as well as acquire knowledge on our strategy for program implementation, and have the opportunity to visit Tostan partner communities leading their own development initiatives.

In preparation for these two-week test trainings planned for next year, we are undertaking preparatory research to better understand the needs and aims of those to whom we might offer them. We would be very pleased to receive your perspective and insights.

We expect this survey will take 10mins, thank you for taking the time to assist our team. The survey will be live until September 18th.
